Easter: Gov Sule felicitates with Christians, sues for peaceful co-existence

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state, Saturday, rejoiced with christian brothers and sisters on the occasion of the 2021 Easter festivities in the state.

Sule urged all christians in the state not to loose sight of the reason for the celebration, and to strive to emulate the virtues of Christ.

In a statement issued to newsmen by his Chief Press Secretary Ibrahim Addra in Lafia, the governor also called for peaceful co-existence between Christians and people of other faiths, insisting, “it is the fundamental ingredient for our collective growth and development as a state and a nation.”

He expressed appreciation to God for the gift of life and the opportunity of another celebration as well as for the relative peace in the state. 

He said, “The period of Easter is one for deeper reflection and a time for all to rededicate to the service of God and love to humanity.”

The governor also urged adherence to the Covid-19 advisory as a safe guard against the Coronavirus while reiterating his government’s resolve to deploy every resource necessary to the security of lives and property.  

He therefore wished all the good people of Nasarawa state a peaceful and rewarding Easter celebration.
