NYCN President who also doubles as Secretary of the Board of Trustees (Not) expressed hope that ” just as the triumphant resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from the death stand as a powerful testimony to the ultimate victory of good over evil, the eventual triumph of light over darkness and the much-hoped-for conquest of wickedness, aggression, violence and death by the forces of love, peace, nonviolence and life, so shall Nigeria overcome all challenges.

He said ” as Nigerians, we must remember that the life, teaching, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ put together, are a lesson on the efficacy of humility, service, self-sacrifice and true love, by which one is prepared to die not only for one’s friends but also for the higher values of truth and justice.

Amb. Sukubo continued ” therefore as Youths and future of Nigeria, we must imbibe the lessons of love, truth, justice, humility, mercy, compassion, purity, peace and non-violence that are imbedded in Easter.  Let us love one another, stand for truth, justice, we should be humble, show mercy to one another and uphold peace in all that we do.

“God, in His infinite mercy, blessed our nation with abundant natural and human resources. God in his wisdom created us together in multiple and diverse. It is left for us as citizens to harness the strength of diversity and continue to work for the progress of Nigeria.

” As we celebrate with love, let us not forget that the Easter season is time to rekindle our hope in God and humanity. So, in all that we do as citizens, we must have hope in God, our leaders and our dear country.

“The NYCN, therefore, charges Nigerians to use the occasion of Easter to rekindle their hope, remain prayerful and work for a peaceful and united Nigeria. Nigeria shall rise again and become a better nation.
