Easter: Oyetola declares free train for Osun indigenes

Osun state Governor, Mr Gboyega Oyetola, has declared free train ride for Christians who are traveling for the Easter celebration.


A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Adeniyi Adesina, said Osun state citizens who are traveling from Lagos to the state will have the opportunity of the free train to Osogbo, the state capital.


The statement said the objective of the free train was to give relief to the people, noting that it will have a stop over at designated train station in Ogun and Oyo states.


The train, according to the statement, will depart the Iddo Terminus in Lagos by 10am on Friday April 19, and expected to arrive Nelson Mandela Freedom Park Train Station, Osogbo, by 6pm.


The statement added that the train will depart Osogbo on Monday April 22, and expected to arrive Lagos at 6pm.

The free train, which was initiated by former Governor Rauf Aregbesola, is the second time since the inception of Oyetola in November 2018.
