Ebira in AMAC lauds Ohinoyi at public function

The Odovidi of Anebira in Abuja Municipal Council (AMAC), Alhaji Momoh Lawal Aliyu, has hailed the paramount ruler of Ebiraland, the Ohinoyi, Alhaji Abdulrahman Ado Ibrahim, for his leadership style.

Aliyu made the statement while delivering his keynote address at the end of year interaction session at his residence in Karu.

He said after twenty year’s reign as Odovidi, some of his achievements include the creation of AMAC youth leader, woman leader, nine Onobas and turbaning of dignitaries, who are friends of Ebiras and advocacy for proper security of lives and properties.

“I do not like the way we abuse titles and the traditional institution. We must strive to respect titles and the traditional institutions wherever we find ourselves.

“My wish is that one day, an Ebira man will vie and become councilor or chairman in AMAC. I implore various youth leaders and women to continue to contribute their quotas in their communities and progress will not be far from them,” he said.

The Odovidi assured that issues raised by the youth would be looked into, adding that unemployment, unity and progress of the all Ebira will continue to be his priority.

Also speaking at the occasion, the Odeyani Ebira in Nasarawa state, Alhaji Yunusa Araba Bello advised Ebiras on the need to respect their leaders.

He said for progress to be recorded, all and sundry must be punctual and be committed to what they do.
