Ebira Youth Congress charges Kogi Central on kidnapping

Coalition of youth clubs and associations in Kogi central senatorial district, Ebira Youth Congress (EYC), has called on well-meaning indigene of the area to stand firm and fight vehemently against cases of kidnapping and killings in the land.
In a statement jointly signed by its President General, Comrade Sheik Mamman Adai, and its Secretary General, Baba Abdulrazak, the group said the recent kidnap of the wife and two-year-old daughter of Hon Salihu Adaviriku , the Chairman of adavi local government area fortnight ago, must be fought to a standstill by all eminent persons in Ebira land.
According to the group, the acts of kidnapping and related crimes are strange and alien, saying such heinous crimes cannot find place in the present day Ebira land.
The group therefore,  called on the people in the district to rise in unison against the evil by being vigilant and assisting security operatives with useful informations to enable the law agents  fish out the perpetrators of the nefarious  acts
“The people in the face of love for one another , are in better position to ward off crime , in turn for a safer society, the security agents are not magicians , they need the support and the co-operation of the people for them to operate effectively” the statement said.
Comrade Mamman further called on political leaders in the area to be proactive in their day to day activities to sustain the peace, safety and orderliness being the central senatorial district.
The EYC, who demanded for immediate and unconditional release of the kidnapped persons, sympathised with Hon Adaviruku, assuring that the security agents in the area would definitely unravel the hideout of the culprits.
