Ebonyi Gov to new DCCs: Collabo with Stakeholders, eliminate cultism, clashes

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has called on his newly sworn-in development centre coordinators to work in synergy with other stakeholders to eliminate cultism and farmers/herdsmen clashes in their localities.

According to a statement by the Special Assistant (SA) on Social Media, Emmanuel Igwe, Umahi was quoted to have ordered  the coordinators to assist the people in agriculture and industrial development.

He was also said to have urged them to show enough commitment in the supervision of schools, health institutions and sanitation of the premises of their development centres.

The statement also quoted Umahi to have ordered the Coordinators to live within their various development centres and that any of them who want to visit Abakaliki, the state capital on private matters should always take permission from his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Local Government Area (LGA).

“I will measure you on these templates and there can be no excuse. Take permission from SSA on LGA when u want to visit the state capital on a private note.

“SSA LGA is to supervise you while I supervise him. I expect the Commissioner for LGA and Chairmen to key into these templates on secondary level, the statement read.
