Ebonyi hospital goes tough on staff over Ponzi scheme

The management of Alex-Ekwueme Federal Teaching Hospital Abakaliki (AE-FETHA) Sunday condemned involvement of it’s staff in ponzi schemes.

This move was made known to journalists in Abakaliki in a release signed by the hospital’s Director of Administration, Mr Callistus Okonkwo.

According to the statement , Okonkwo  noted that staffers who  engage in such schemes do so either by participation or as agents.

It however described such act as serious misconduct punishable in line with the public service rule.

Also the head of adminstration in the release expressed worrry that some staff, department and group of persons indulge in money lending and borrowing with the objective of making gains.

“The management has henceforth prohibited such activties and therefore warns that any individual, unit, department, or group of persons caught in the act shall be punished accordingly.”
