Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa state Tuesday said ECOWAS has pledged to construct 330 KVA power station in Dutse.
The governor stated this when he received a team from TCN led by its Managing Director, Muhammad Usman Gur.
He said the project will actualize the state government’s mission of
industrialising the state through stable power supply.
Alhaji Abubakar explained that when completed, the project would cover Birnin kudu, Gwaram and other parts of Jigawa central Senatorial district.
He added that a number of investors have shown in the state provided power supply is improved.
In his remark the TCN managing director said they were in Dutse to cement cordial relationship between the TCN and Jigawa state government.
He assured the governor of interrupted power supply to the state by
power distribution company of Nigeria. He also thanked the governor for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage.
