Editors announce new dates for 2021 biennial convention

 

The Nigeria Guild of Editors (NGE) Tuesday announced that it has slightly adjusted the dates of its 2021 convention scheduled to hold in Kano state.

According to the statement issued by the NGE’s General Secretary, Mary Atolagbe, the convention will now hold from Sunday, 30th May to Tuesday, 2nd June 2021.

“The dates for the NGE 2021 Convention have been slightly adjusted at the instance of the government of the host state. The Biennial Convention of the Nigerian Guild of Editors will now take place from Sunday, 30th May to Tuesday, 2nd June 2021.

“Details of the events are as follow: arrival of Delegates: Sunday, 30th May; convention/election: Monday, 31st May; tour of projects /Gala Night: Tuesday, 1st June; and the departure: Wednesday, 2nd June.

“The standing committee regrets the inconveniences this slight postponement may have caused our esteemed members, especially those who have already purchased their flight tickets.

“The Venue of the convention is: Tahir Guest Palace, No. 4, Ibrahim Natsugune Road, Kawo, Kano state. Kindly note that only members, who are up-to-date in their financial obligations are eligible to vote and be voted for.’’
