Speaker, Edo state House of Assembly, Hon. Kabiru Adjoto, has charged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to shun acts of indiscipline and actions capable of portraying the party’s image in bad light.
Adjoto said the party would not hesitate to sanction erring members, adding that the party’s leadership “is key to enforcing discipline, promote internal democracy.”
The speaker, who stated this at an enlarged APC meeting at the party in Igarra, Akoko-Edo local government, noted that “discipline is key to make APC relevant as a platform to actualising political aspirations.”
He called on all political office holders from Akoko-Edo extraction
to live up to expectation because, according to him, doing otherwise will amount to working in contrary to the policy trust of the present administration.
While commending Governor Godwin Obaseki for his interest at transforming socio-economic activities in Akoko-Edo, Adjoto also lauded the appointment of its indigenes into political positions.
Also, the member representing Akoko-Edo constituency II at the House, Hon. Emmanuel Agbaje, cautioned on “campaign of calumny and pull him down syndrome” against political office holders in the local government.
