Edo: Group holds Iftar for 250 Muslims ,

 
The National Council of Muslims Youth Organisation (NACOMYO) in Edo State has charged Muslims on the lessons of brotherhood in love, giving and faith during Ramadan.

The organisation said the benefits of Ramadan is enormous and admonished the Muslims to have faith in Allah.
President of the organisation, Alaji Muhammad Ola, stated this during the second edition of its annual Ramadan IFTAR SA’lM/lecture, a collective fast breaking for  250 fasting Muslims in Benin-City.

The event also include Qur’an recitation, special Dua, quiz and prizes.

Ola said the event was aimed at bringing  Muslims together and show them care and love.
According to him, “Ramadan is where we learn or train and you are expected to
put what you have learned during this lecture into practice”.
Also, lslamic scholar in the department of religions at the University of Benin, Professor Lateef Kayode Adeyemo, said the month of Ramadan  is “often a period when fellow Muslims help to feed, show love and care to themselves”.
He urged Muslim faithfuls to abstain from eating, taking drugs and avoid anything that would make them sin against Allah.
