No fewer than 36 commissioners for science and technology in Nigeria will on December 11 converge in Benin City, the Edo state capital, for the Annual Council Meeting of National Council on Science and Technology (NCST).
Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Governor Godwin Obaseki, Mr. Crusoe Osagie, said “the NCST is the apex policymaking body on science and technology in the country,” adding that the weeklong confab seeks to review current trends influencing advancement of science and technology in the country.
According to him, over 500 delegates including stakeholders in science and technology development are expected at the event.
Osagie said the conference “will help states better fashion policies that reflect the realities of a technological-driven globalised world.”
