Education, a priority to Gombe – Dankwambo

Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo of Plateau state has said that his administration is according priority to education.
Dankwambo said the fact that his state was one among the north-eastern states devastated by the Boko Haram insurgents, much priority was being given to the education of youth.
The governor spoke through the state commissioner for higher education Dr. Isa Muhammad at the formal opening of the JIBWIS 20th annual national Qur’an competition in Jos.

He said coupled with the level of insurgency by the Boko Haram, education in the state suffered set back, but “we are doing the best that we could to ensure that education received all the attention being number one in the government policy.”
Muhammad further said while fielding questions from journalists that: “Education is a critical factor and all priority is accorded to it by the government.
“Besides that the government has been steering efforts by providing jobs to the youth who are before now into Kalare,” he added.
