The Ibadan zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Wednesday arrested a 33-year-old landlord, identified as Stanley Ejike Awam, for allegedly habouring suspected internet fraudsters.
Ten other suspected ‘Yahoo Boys’ were also nabbed by EFCC operatives at different locations in Ibadan metropolis over their alleged illegal activities.
Blueprint learnt that it took the EFCC operative’s time before locating Stanley’s six-flat property tucked inside an isolated environment around Ologuneru area of Ibadan to arrest the suspected internet fraudsters.
EFCC gave names of those arrested at the six flat building as Henry Echefu, Usman Mustapha, Adeleke David, Olafuyi Josiah, Shorefire Ayokunmi, Riliwan Ajao, Abulsalam Abubakar and Lukman Salam.
The Ibadan zonal EFCC operatives also arrested two other suspected internet fraudsters , namely Adeyemo Muktarh and Bashir Mohammed at Eleyele and Old Bodija areas of Ibadan
The commission said further investigations on the suspects are still ongoing while those indicted would be charged to court.
Items recovered from them include three exotic cars, laptops, mobile phones and land documents.
