EFCC storms Zamfara APC chieftain’s residence, marks house

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Sokoto zonal office Tuesday morning stormed the personal residence of gubernatorial candidate on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last 2019 elections, Aminu Sani Jajan.

The EFCC operatives marked the whole fencing around the house with ‘EFCC under investigation, keep off’.

Our correspondent who visited the scene at Tudun Wada Federal Low Cost Area where the house of Jaji was located could not reach the main house as a result of blockage of the whole major roads linking to the house by the personnel of the anti grab agency.

The EFCC personnel had few days ago stormed the house of Jaji and marked it, but after about an hour, the marked fence of the house was cancelled by the said anti grab agency officials.

When contacted, Hon. Jaji told journalists that he was not aware of any case involving him and EFCC that led to the marking of his residential house in Gusau last Friday and Tuesday.

He stated that nobody invited or intimated him either at EFCC or anywhere of any case and as such it came as a surprise to wake up and see his personal residence marked by the EFCC in Gusau, the state capital.

Blueprint reports that Hon. Jaji was one time chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on National Intelligence and Security, Aminu Sani-Jaji (APC, Zamfara), who represents Kaura-Namoda/Birnin-Magaji constituency of Zamfara state.
