Egypt 2023: Bosso proposes training camp in Spain, Algeria, others

Head Coach of the U20 Boys’ National Team, Isah Ladan Bosso, has proposed to the chieftains of the Nigeria Football Federation that his wards should camp in either Spain, Algeria or Tunisia ahead of preparation for next year’s Africa U20 Cup of Nations finals slated for Egypt.

Coach Bosso exclusively told Blueprint sport that the ‘overseas training camp is necessary because of acclimatisation.

“Spain, Algeria and Tunisia have similar weather with Egypt. We need to acclimatise before the championship gets underway.

“We won the Africa title because we had enough time to adjust to the weather in Niamey and fully shore up our preparation” he said.

Meanwhile, the camp of U20 Boys’ National team, Flying Eagles will come alive today when training will start for for next year’s Africa U20 Cup of Nations finals in Egypt,” he said.

Already, Bosso has invited 40 players to camp. The list is made up of five goalkeepers, nine defenders, 13 midfielders and 13 forwards. The players will stay at the Serob Legacy Hotel in the Wuye area of the nation’s capital.
