Eid-el-Fitr: Lalong felicitates with Muslims, harps on peaceful co-existence

Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau state has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah, on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, with a call for them to love and share with the less privileged as exemplified by Prophet Mohammed (SAW).

Lalong who is also the Chairman of the Northern State Governors’ Forum (NSGF), enjoined Muslims to use the period to offer prayers for peace, unity, prosperity, healing and rapid development at all levels of governance in the country.

He said this in a press release Monday, signed by deputy director press and Public affairs, Solomon Gujor.

Lalong further called on; “all Muslims to put into practice lessons learnt during the Ramadan period, and to love and share with the less privileged in the society as exemplified by Prophet Mohammed (SAW).”

He reiterated the determination of the ‘Rescue Government’ to bequeath enduring legacies to the next generation in line with the administration’s 5 Policy Thrust.

He called on those celebrating to observe the laws of the land, and to especially obey traffic regulations as they move around in the course of the celebration.
