Eid-el Fitr: NYCN admonishes Nigerians to sustain values of Ramadan

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has admonished Nigerians to sustain the values of Ramadan.

NYCN in a statement by its National Public Relation Officer, Comrade Olugbode Damola, Sunday congratulated all Muslims across the globe on the successful completion of Ramadan fasting, calling on Almighty Allah forgive our shortcomings and accept our fasting as an act of Ibadan (Amin).

The statement in part read, “This year’s Ramadan is observed among the global pandemic COVID-19, one of Allah’s signs of superiority over the world, amidst all restriction Muslim faithful, observe Ramadan fasting, may Allah consider our steadfastness to heal Nigeria, Africa and the world at large of the virus.

“I enjoin our Muslim brothers and sisters to sustain the good virtues of Ramadan, the good works, sacrifices, and selflessness, with this we can build a great country for the benefit of all.

“As we celebrate Eid-el Fitri, we should remember our frontline healthcare workers and security forces at the forefront of COVID -19 to restore peace and good health to our country. May Allah heal our land crown the effort of leaders”.
