Eid-el-Kabir: Pray for peace, rainfall, Bala urges Bauchi citizens

As Muslims celebrate eid-el Kabir, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state, Tuesday charged citizens to use the period of the sacrifice and acts of worship to pray Allah to grant the state sustainable peace and abundant rainfall.

It is observed that although the month of July is about to end, it was not raining regularly in the state just as many farmers are yet to plant their crops despite the fact that the state government had already launched the 2021 farming season and sales of fertiliser.

He gave this charge in a press release issued by his special adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, while felicitating with the state citizens on the Sallah festival.

“We should pray for the prevailing peace in the state to be sustained and for adequate rainfall for us to have a bumper harvest during this farming season.

“Let me use this opportunity to reiterate our administration’s commitment to continue to serve the good people of Bauchi state to take the state to greater heights.

“As you can see, we are making our modest efforts in infrastructural development, education, health, youth empowerment and agriculture which I believe are critical to the development of our dear state. We will continue to pursue developmental projects which have direct bearings on the lives of our people,” he said.
