Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, has urged Nigerians to close ranks in order to move the nation forward.
Ekweremadu stated this yesterday via a statement issued by his Special Adviser (Media), Uche Anichukwu, in his Eid el-Maulud message to the Muslim Ummah.
He said: “The celebration of the birth of the holy prophet is yet another opportunity to reflect on his life and imbibe his message of unity, peaceful co-existence, and love for one’s neighbour.
“I believe Nigeria has the requisite human and material resources to bounce back if citizens work with oneness of mind and in an atmosphere of love and faith.
“So, I call on the Muslim Ummah to also seize the opportunity of Eid el-Maulud to pray for unity and peace in the country. With both, there will be no challenge too difficult for us to overcome as a people.”
He wished the Muslim faithful a merry and hitch-free celebration.
