Eid-el-Kabir: Yari calls for unity, tolerance among APC members

The pillar of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara state who is also the immediate past governor, His Excellency, Hon. Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari, has called for unity and tolerance among the members of the APC family in Zamfara and the nation as well.

In his Sallah message to the APC family, which was signed on his behalf by the Secretary, Concerned Citizens of Zamfara state, Musa Gusau, the former governor stated that without unity, peace, understanding and tolerance, no family, community or association could make tangible progress.

He, therefore, called on all APC members nationwide to strive towards making the party the toast of every Nigerian.

“On this occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, I extend my warmest greetings to our Muslim brothers and sisters in the All Progressives Congress, APC, Nigeria and around the world. We give utmost gratitude to Almighty Allah (SWT) for His countless blessings”. Prophet Ibrahim demonstrated his submission to Almighty Allah as exemplified by his readiness to sacrifice his only son. This is the reason why we celebrate the Eid and to mark the Eid faithfully, we must celebrate it in the same spirit of submission to the will of Allah that prophet Ibrahim showed”, Yari further stated.

He urged Muslims to remind themselves that “we are commemorating an act of complete faith in Allah and His instructions unto us and so the period calls for peace, compassion, justice and tolerance. It calls for us to adhere to principles and causes greater and nobler than our own self interests. It asks us to work and strive for the betterment of community and country. It is these traits that must order our daily lives and our relationship with one another.”

The APC chieftain urged party members not to forget that while basking in celebration they should also dedicate themselves to greater adherence and obedience to the compassionate and spiritually nourishing commands of Almighty Allah and “not to forget the poor and vulnerable among us and in our great party APC”.

The APC pillar in Zamfara advised all members of the party to work towards the victory of the party in any election “and this could only be possible when we all work as a team as real members of a great family”.

He enjoinrd party members to embrace the forthcoming ward congresses by working towards bringing out the best from among themselves.

To this end, he prayed to Almighty Allah to protect all the members of the APC family.

“I pray to Allah to protect our people, our party members and our party leadership all over Nigeria and give us the courage and wisdom to defeat those who are willing to destroy the party we worked hard to build for years,” he said.

The former governor who has been single handedly financing the APC in Zamfara state prayed for the unity and stability of APC and Nigeria.

“Let us also remember President Muhammadu Buhari, our APC governors and other APC leaders in our prayers so that they can continue to confront and surmount the challenges facing our party and this country so that together we can enjoy the benefits of a better Nigeria and move to the promised land,” he said.
