Eid Maulud: Shehu of Bama calls for prayers against Boko Haram

The Shehu of Bama, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ibrahim Kyari Ibn Umar El-Kanemi, has appealed to his subjects to intensify prayers in order to end Boko Haram insurgency in the area and state at large.

He stated this Monday during special prayers to mark this year’s Maulud Nabiyi celebration. 

He commended the efforts of the state and federal governments for the relative peace being enjoyed by the.

The Royal Father however, expressed dismay over the relocation of some girls popularly known as galadima’s girls to Bama.

Blueprint reported that the girls were accused of prostitution, drugs addiction, alcoholism etc.

 It was as a result of such atrocities that the Government constituted a high powered committee to address the nefarious act which led to the demolition of several hotels, brothels and hideouts.

 “I have instructed all the village and ward heads to be vigilant and proactive so that such attitude will not reoccur; and whoever is  involve or facilitate such criminality  will face full wrath of the law. And  his or her  structure will be demolished as the government  did in Maiduguri, the state capital”, Kyari said.
