The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps NSCDC Zamfara State Command has deployed over 2, 300 personnel to provide security during Sallah festival.
The state Commandant of NSCDC, Aliyu Bature, stated this in an interview with Blueprint in his office Tuesday.
According to him, the Command had deployed 56 special tactical personnel in Gusau metropolis to ensure safety Sallah festival.
He said, some of the strategic places where personnel would be deployed includes, Eidl ground, amusement park, congregational areas, Kwatarkwashi rock, churches to mention but a few.
The Zamfara NSCDC Commandant, call on people of the state to remain calm and law abiding citizens during Sallah festival and beyond, urging them to desist from any form of causing unrest as the command will work with sister security agencies to restore peace.
