The Igala Nation Sunday congratulated President Muhamnadu Buhari for putting a round peg in a round hole with the appointment of Professor Ibrahim Gambari as his new Chief of Staff ( CoS) .
In a jointly signed statement by the National Leader of Ujache Igala Association of Nigeria, Akwu Umar -Pharooq and National Secretary, Samuel Ugbede, Gambari’s appointment has rekindled the hope of Nigerians in present administration.
Gambari according to the statement, will bring his wealth of experience to bare on the highly sensitive job in the interest of the country.
The statement reads in part : ” The national leadership of Ujache Igala Association of Nigeria , on behalf of the Igala Nation , commends President Muhammadu Buhari for the choice of Professor Gambari as his new Chief of Staff.
” The appointment is in all ramifications, putting a round peg in a round hole , considering the pedigree cum experience of Professor Gambari in public service administration nationally and internationally .
“Professor Gambari as an astute administrator is the most suitable for the job. There is no mincing words, his selection has rekindle the hope of many Nigerians on the change agenda of President Buhari .
“The State House will now rely on Gambari’s verse knowledge of international diplomacy to move the country forward at a jet speed”.
It would be recalled that while Gambari’s appointment has been applauded by many in Nigeria and in diplomatic circles, some are kicking against it on alleged sour relationship they had with him in the past .
Gambari had since resumed office and promised to give the job , his best with absolute loyalty to President Muhamnadu Buhari and clinical execution of the lofty programmes of his administration .
