Ekiti FA partners Mees Palace on football devt

The drives to take football in Ekiti state to the next level received a big boost Tuesday, when the board of the state football association led by its Chairman Bayo Olanlege, signed a partnership deal with Mees Palace football academy.

The pact with the Plateau state based academy is a two year deal that would see collaborative moves between both parties towards development of football, particularly, in Ekiti state.

The MoU stands on strong five developmental pillars that include technical development, footballing, media and kit partnership.

The partnership deal which is the first in the history of football administration in the state, has been described as a right move in the path to footballing utopia by genuinely concerned football stakeholders who also lauded the Ekiti FA board for the positive move.

On its part, the management of Mees Palace football academy enthused confidently that new heights would be achieved in the development of football in the state and in the history of Nigerian football.

Chairman, Mees Palace academy, Emmanuel Adukwu said, “Firstly, I must confess that there are very few people in Nigeria who have decided that they are going to do youth football, the way it should be done.

“This agreement with Ekiti FA is a big deal for us. It comes with lots of excitement. It takes so much to be able to find somebody to partner with to be able to grow football in the right direction.  When we get it right, posterity would look kindly on us. And beginning with this MoU, we believe other state football associations would also follow the correct ways of doing youth football, ” he said.
