Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) is currently against kicking against the upward review of electricity tariffs being charged by distribution companies (Discos) operating in Nigeria.
The NLC said it was not acceptable to Nigerians.
The disclosure was made by NLC general secretary, Emmanuel Ugboaja, who said labour also rejected the federal government’s plan to divest from the Discos and the generation companies (Gencos).
Ugboaja said: “We completely disagree with any fresh hike in electricity tariff. We oppose it and the NLC has clearly expressed this position in its communiqué issued at the end of its National Executive Committee meeting held in Kano.
