Embrace lucrative means of generating income, club owner tells sports Journalists

A club owner and proprietor of one of Nigeria’s fastest growing female soccer outfits Naija Ratels, Barr. Paul Edeh, has enjoined Journalists especially Sport Writers to embrace lucrative means of generating more income beyond their regular take home.

Barr. Edeh who was a special guest during the maiden Congress of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) FCT chapter after its election a month ago, said with the current economic realities, it has become expedient for media workers to widen their money-making scope in a bid to meet daily expenditures.

The Naija Ratels Chief Executive Officer cum Real Estate guru is in the forefront of facilitating a large land space operated by the Nigeria Army’s Post-service Housing Development Ltd (PHDL), where proposed SWAN smart city will be located within Abuja’s city centre.

He told SWAN FCT Congress well-attended by its entire leadership, sports veteran broadcasters, editors, presenters and reporters of great reputes from various media organisations that timely and viable investment in real estate development can be key in stimulating sustainable economy for individuals and families.

“The fact remains that the only real and viable business is Real Estate. The risk associated with it is very minimal provided you are on the right path.

“So I will advice all of you to queue into the Smart City project. Even when you don’t intend to build, you can get involved and make extra income with it,” he said.

Earlier, SWAN FCT chairman Comrade Ndubueze Chidoka had commended the management of PHDL for their partnership and enjoined members to remain optimistic of better times ahead.

Others who spoke during the Congress including the Group Sports Editor Nigerian Pilot Mr Asueliemen Osasuyi, former correspondent chapel chairman Comrade Ralph Ekpang, former SWAN FCT chairman and bureau Chief of Daily Independent Comrade Tony Ezimako, SWAN Secretary General Mr. Jude Opara among others applauded the initiative.
