The coronation and presentation of staff of office to the 2nd emir of Kagara in Niger state, Mallam Ahmad Garba Gunna Attahiru II, has been fixed for December 3, 2022.
The organising committee of the coronation ceremony stated this in a statement issued from the emirate council.
“It is on this happy development that the Kagara Emirate Council and indeed the organising committee of the coronation ceremony of the 2nd emir of Kagara, Mal. Attahiru II, wish to inform the general public and indeed the people of Kagara Emirate that our beloved royal father would officially be installed and presented his staff of office Insha Allah on Saturday, 3rd December, 2022,” the committee said.
The governor of Niger state, Abubakar Sani Bello, will be the special guest of honour, while the royal father of the day would be the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, CFR.
Also, the Etsu Nupe and chairman of Niger state Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, will honour the event as the chief host.
Other distinguished personalities expected at the event include prominent traditional rulers from across the country and top federal and state government functionaries.
