#EndSARS: Hoodlums attack Edo NDLEA office, loot cannabis

The ongoing nationwide protest against police brutality and abuses, Wednesday, took a twist in Edo state after suspected hoodlums hijacked the exercise and attacked the Benin Office of the Nation Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Upper Sakponba road in Ikpoba-Okha local government area.

The attack came amidst the 24-hour curfew imposed by the state government to quell the activities of hoodlums.
Blueprint gathered that the hoodlums stormed the office at about 6.30pm and overpowered personnel on duty.
Witnesses said the attackers thereafter proceeded to the warehouse where seized items – mostly cannabis and other hard drugs are kept and reportedly looted before setting the building on fire.

Similarly, suspected hoodlums had on Monday launched an attack at two correctional centres in Benin City and freed over 2,000 inmates.
