Youths who are agitating for the #ENDSARS NOW, Tuesday grounded Enugu, the Coal City as motorists were prevented from getting to their destination in time.

The protesters took off at Okpara Square, Independence Layout, caused a lot traffic hold up for vehicular movement, thereby forcing motorists to either make a deture or wait in the gridlock for hours.

The protesters held up motorists at the popular ESUT gate that led the the Institute of Management and Technology, IMT, as well as the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, ESUT where the gate got its name, ESUT Gate.

Motorists who spoke to our correspondent lamented how they spent hours waiting for the protesters who sprawled on the roads clutching different placards that depicted their demand which include good governance apart from the #EndSARS Now.

“We had to turn round and went through Kenyatta and burst at Maryland Layout before reaching Independence Layout.  The protesters were too many,” a motorists laments.

“In as much as I like the protest, I think they should put a stop to it.  The protest have been going on for some time now and should stop before it will degenerate to something else,” another motorists Godwin Anyanwu said.

Meanwhile, from the look of things, it seems the youths are determined to continue with the protest even when the Federal Government has bulged by scrapping SARS.
