Enugu assures youths on training, skills acquisition

Enugu state Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Joseph Udedi, has reiterated the state government’s commitment to develop the youths in the state through skills and training.
Udedi, who stated this at a youth town hall meeting in Nsukka recently, explained that 500 youths will be trained in various skills in April this year.
He said 300 youths have already been trained by the state in collaboration with the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) in the areas of fabrication and metal work.
About 300 youths who graduated from different skills were equipped by the ITF to begin their trades.
The commissioner informed the youths that the ministry in partnership with a private organisation had trained more than 1,000 youths in farming, craft making, hotel management, cosmetology and catering.
He commended Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for achieving so much in sports, noting in 2016, Enugu Rangers won the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after 32 years of trophy drought.
