The Labour Party has proved to be tough as its senatorial candidate, Barr. Okey Ezea has defeated Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of the PDP for Enugu North senatorial election.
Ezea floored Ugwuanyi with over 104,000 votes while Ugwuanyi trailed behind with over 46,000 votes.
In another shocking defeat, Mr. Mark Chidi Obetta of the Labour Party also defeated his PDP opponent, Engr. Vita Abbah, the former chairman of Enugu State PDP.
Obetta carpeted Abbah with 50,881 votes as against Abbah’s 19,347 votes.
