Bayern Munich and defending champions Real Madrid will renew their rivalry when they clash at the Allianz Arena. Bayern boss Carlo Ancelotti will be coming up against his former club, and he will be aiming to oust his former employers the same way he ousted Bayern in the 2013/14 season.

Bayern lost 3-0 at the Allianz Arena, and subsequently crashed out 4-0 on aggregate. Real then went on to win the trophy by beating Atletico Madrid. Bayern have scored 29 goals in their last 6 games at the Arena, and are on the back of a 4-1 mauling of rivals Borussia Dortmund. Th ey also haven’t lost at home this season, winning 18 and drawing 3 of 21 matches.

Real on the other hand are unbeaten in their last 9 in all competitions, and they haven’t lost any of their last 12 Champions League games. Th ey will need to put in a solid performance away from home, as they will have the home advantage going into the second leg. Leicester City will fancy their chances of making a fi rst-ever Semi Final appearance when they face Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon.

Leicester qualifi ed after a coming from the dead (2 – 1) in the fi rst leg against Europa League holders Sevilla. Th ey went on to secure an incredible 2-0 win at the King Power to move to the quarters. Under Craig Shakespeare they have seen a huge revival in their domestic form, losing just once last weekend to Everton in the domestic league.

Th ey will certainly be the team to beat. Atletico had a fairly easy round of 16 tie against Bayer Leverkusen, settling the tie in the fi rst leg after winning 4-2 away from home. Th e second leg ended in a 0-0 draw at home which saw them through comfortably. Th ey have won 5 and drawn 3 of their last 8 matches, keeping 5 clean sheets
