Top of the table Liverpool will tackle Arsenal at Anfield. Both sides go into the game on the back of contrasting fortunes. Liverpool have remained unbeaten after 19 games, going six points clear at the top while forward Mohammed Salah has shot to the top of the scoring charts with 13 goals.
Arsenal on the other hand dropped points once again against Brighton to fall further behind in the race for the top four, and defeat here could see the gap between them and Chelsea rise even more. In Pierre Emerick Aubameyang they have a player with a keen eye for goal and he will look to get amongst the goal here.
Tottenham will look to continue their fine run of form when Wolves make the trip to Wembley. The Lilywhites have been in scintillating form, winning their last two games and scoring 11 goals to move up to second place on the log, six points behind the in-form Liverpool. Wolves will have a mountain to climb here, especially as they haven’t been quite impressive on the road. They labored to a 1-1 draw against Fulham in their last outing and will need to work miracles to leave here with a result.
Leicester City will be eyeing a third straight win when they face Cardiff City at the King Power Stadium.
On the back of a five star performance against Burnley, Everton will now turn their sights to Brighton in their clash at the Falmer Stadium.
Watford will look to return to winning ways when they welcome Newcastle to Vicarage Road.
Nineteenth placed Fulham will have the opportunity to pick up points when they host bottom of the log Huddersfield at Craven Cottage.
Tomorrow, Manchester United will entertain Bournemouth at Old Trafford. United have been rejuvenated under new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, winning his first two games in charge and scoring eight goals in the process. The Red Devils now take on a Bournemouth side on the back of a stunning five goal thrashing at the hands of Tottenham. With Romelu Lukaku, Anthony Martial and Alexis Sanchez set to return from injury, this is definitely the last thing Eddie Howe needs.
Manchester City will look to snap a two game losing streak when they travel to St. Mary’s Stadium to take on Southampton. The Citizens’ poor run of form has seen them fall six points behind runaway leaders Liverpool. The absence of midfielder Fernandinho in those games seems to have affected them, although that shouldn’t be much of an excuse given them sum of money spent by Pep Guardiola.
Southampton are now starting to find their feet under Ralph Hasenuttl and having beaten Arsenal in this stadium, will now have their eyes firmly set on the Citizens.
Crystal Palace will take on Chelsea at Selhurst Park. The Eagles followed up their stunning win over Man City with a rather surprising goalless draw with Cardiff City, while Chelsea grinded out a 2-1 win over Watford thanks to a brace from Eden Hazard. With the race for the top four heating up, Maurizio Sarri will be counting on his charges to avoid yet another slip up.
Having slipped into the relegation zone, Burnley will be desperate to return to winning ways when they take on West Ham at Turf Moor.
Meanwhile, Current Premier League leaders boss Jurgen Klopp has confirmed James Milner and Joe Gomez have been ruled out of Liverpool’s clash against Arsenal on Saturday.
Liverpool welcome Arsenal to Anfield as they aim to record a ninth straight win and further dent Unai Emery’s side hopes of a top-four finish this season.
Klopp will have to make do without two players who started the reverse fixture at the Emirates Stadium back in November.
Gomez – who has impressed alongside Virgil van Dijk at centre-half this season – also isn’t fit to make his return and he too will sit out the game with Arsenal as Dejan Lovren continues to deputise.
Klopp confirmed the team news during his pre-match press conference at Melwood on Friday afternoon.
The Liverpool Echo have reported that ex-Chelsea forward Dominic Solanke has also been ruled out, but Alberto Moreno is available again although is not likely to dislodge Andrew Robertson at left-back.
