EPL: Gunners, Blues rekindle rivalry

Chelsea will be aiming for a fourth consecutive away win when they travel to the Emirates Stadium. The Blues won their encounter 3-2 earlier in the season and will be looking to do the double over their London rivals. The Gunners have the third best home record this season but haven’t been themselves in recent weeks. A 1-0 loss to West Ham last time out has put their top four hopes in jeopardy and with tougher fixtures to come, this is a must win game for Unai Emery’s men.

Manchester United will aim to continue their winning run when they host Brighton at Old Trafford. The Red Devil’s 1-0 win over Tottenham took them level on points with fifth placed Arsenal and six points off the top four. The win meant new manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer become the first United manager to win his first six games in charge. United lost 3-2 to Brighton earlier in the season and will definitely look to avenge the defeat. The Seagulls are 13th on the log and having lost 1-0 to Liverpool in their last game, look set to record back to back defeats.

League leaders Liverpool will take on Crystal Palace at Anfield. The Reds are remain four points clear at the top after ghosting past Brighton 1-0 at the Amex Stadium. Mo Salah was on target once again as he took his goal tally to 14 for the season, level with Pierre Emerick Aubameyang. They also kept yet another clean sheet, which will be a positive for Jurgen Klopp. Palace are 14th on the log having won just six games all season. With most of the bottom teams starting to hit form, Roy Hodgson will be hoping his side can grind out at least a point.

Newcastle will look to climb out of the relegation zone when they tackle 17th placed Cardiff City at the Sports Direct Arena.

Southampton will look to continue their impressive resurgence when they host an inconsistent Everton at St. Mary’s Stadium.

Watford and Burnley face off at Vicarage Road as both teams aim to continue their climb up the table.

Bournemouth will be desperate for points when an in form visit make the trip to the Vitality Stadium.

Manchester City will travel to face Huddersfield Town at the Kirklees Stadium. The Citizens have been in good form since the start of the year and are four points behind leaders Liverpool. City has also been in good goal scoring form and against a team that is bottom of the log, Guardiola and his charges will certainly be licking their lips. The Terriers parted ways with manager David Wagner after just two wins in 22 games. They are eight points from safety, which leaves their hopes of survival hanging by a thread.

Tottenham will take on Fulham at Craven Cottage in a bid to return to winning ways. The Lilywhites missed the chance to move to second spot after losing 1-0 to Manchester United, and to make matters worse, top scorer Harry Kane picked up an injury at the end of the match and has been ruled out until March, effectively ruling him out of a lot of key fixtures.

This one should be a formality though as the Cottagers are 19th on the log and five points from safety having failed to rediscover the sauce that saw them gain promotion back to the Premier League.
