EPL: Spurs, United, City eye victories as Liverpool, Chelsea clash

Tottenham will be eyeing a third consecutive victory in their new stadium when they entertain relegated Huddersfield Town at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Lilywhites have won two in two so far, with one of those coming against Manchester City in the Champions League. In their way is a Huddersfield side that has won just three games all season and will be playing their football in the Championship next season. Spurs have been dealt a huge blow with news that Harry Kane will be out injured, and Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping his star man won’t be out for too long.

Manchester United will look to get back to the top four with a win when West Ham visit Old Trafford. The Red Devils put in a spirited display in midweek against Barcelona, though it wasn’t enough as they slumped to a narrow 1-0 defeat. West Ham have won just one of their last four league matches, and United will look to bounce back against them as they are on the back of defeat to Wolves themselves. The Hammers on the other hand have up to seven players out injured. They will remain up for the fight though as they are just five points away from seventh.

Wolves will continue their fight for seventh place when they travel to face Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium.

With relegation already confirmed, Fulham will have nothing to play for when they host a resurgent Everton at Craven Cottage.

Five points away from safety, nothing but a win will so when Cardiff travel to Turf Moor to face Burnley.

Brighton and Bournemouth face each other at the Falmer Stadium with three points up for grabs.

Tomorrow, Liverpool will face a huge test when Chelsea visit Anfield. The Reds currently top the table with 82 points, two points more than second placed Man City, although City have a game in hand. With a first Premier League title looking likely, the Reds will find it tough against a Chelsea side chasing a spot in the top four. The Blues have made the surprising rise to third on the log and will like to keep it that way. A trip to Anfield will be daunting for them though as Liverpool are unbeaten at home this season. Both sides played out a draw earlier in the season but expect fireworks in this do or die encounter.

Defending Champions Man City will make the trip to Selhurst Park to battle Crystal Palace. The Citizens are two points without Liverpool with a game in hand and will look to avoid any slip up at all costs. Palace won’t be a walk in the park, as City learnt when they were stuneed 3-2 by Roy Hodgson’s men earlier in the season. The Eagles will be hoping to do the double over City, and in the process continue their quest for a top ten finish. City are on the back of a Champions League defeat to Tottenham, and with the second leg looming, Pep Guardiola is expecting a positive response from his charges.
