Manchester will be the centre of attention when Manchester City tackle Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium. Both sides have had contrasting seasons, with City breezing their way to the title with some mesmerizing football, while United have trailed their rivals for a huge part of the season.
A solid start to the season was marred by injuries to key players, most notably Paul Pogba, and some questionable tactics by Jose Mourinho. They lie 16 points behind the citizens, and have also crashed out of the Champions League.
City can seal the title with a win here, but they are on the back of a 3-0 loss to Liverpool in the Champions League. How they plan to line up for this game is yet to be known as Pep has stated he would like to rest some players for the second leg.
The Merseyside Derby is another game to look forward to as Everton face an in-form Liverpool at Goodison Park. The Toffees have had some mixed results in recent games, with the latest being a 3-1 loss to Manchester City. They have nevertheless made it to the top 10 after a poor run of games over the course of the season.
Liverpool continued their solid run with a fine 3-0 thrashing of Man City in the Champions League. An area of concern is the fact that Mohammed Salah went off injured during the win. The Reds continue to trail Man United by two points, and they will go above them with a win, albeit temporarily.
Stoke City will be desperate for a win when they host Tottenham at the Britannia Stadium. The Potters have continued to rake in the defeats upon defeats and are now three points away from safety.
Spurs on the other hand gave their Champions League qualification hopes a boost by beating Chelsea 3-1. The win put them eight points clear of the Blues, and they would have been delighted to see Harry Kane back in action as the season comes to a close.
Brighton and Huddersfield face off at the Falmer Stadium. Brighton are slowly drawing closer to safety as they are six points clear of the relegation zone with a game in hand.
Huddersfield are at a higher risk though, with just three points separating them from the bottom. They will have to do without key player Elias Kachunga after he was ruled out for the rest of the season.
Watford will entertain Burnley at Vicarage Road. The Hornets are on a three match winless streak, conceding a staggering 10 goals and scoring just two. Although they are nine points off the bottom, they will be looking to hit the 40 point mark soon.
Burnley are on the hunt for a Europa League spot and will look to continue their winning run.
Swansea will aim to return to winning ways when they face West Brom at the Hawthorns.
Crystal Palace will travel to the Vitality Stadium to face Bournemouth. Anything other than a win will very likely see them once again drop into the relegation zone.
Leceister City will do battle with Newcastle at the King Power Stadium.
Tomorrow, Chelsea take on West Ham at Stamford Bridge. The Blues look all set for the Europa League next season after a London Derby defeat to Tottenham. It has been a season to forget for Conte’s men as they look set to finish outside the top four for the second time in three seasons.
West Ham are 14th on the log, five points clear of the drop zone. A 3-0 win over Southampton is certainly something for David Moyes’ team to build on.
Southampton or the Saints, 18th on the log, face a daunting task when they tackle Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
So far Mark Hughes’ reign hasn’t gone according to plan having lost 3-0 to West Ham. They do have a game in hand but need to act quickly to improve their situation. Arsenal are starting to look like themselves again after a difficult few weeks.
The return of Alexandre Lacazette from injury is a welcome boost for Arsene Wenger as they look to make the perfect run in the Europa League in order to secure Champions League football for next season.
