Equity gains N26bn as Okomu oil leads losers, chart

Okomu Oil Palm recorded the highest loss at the Nigerian Stock Exchange yesterday, shedding N8.30 kobo to close at N74.70 kobo, Betaglass trailed with a loss of N1.05 kobo to close at N76.95 kobo, PZ down by N0.90 kobo to close at N15.10 kobo, Zenith International Bank fell by N0.70 kobo to close at N23.00 while Flour Mills Nigeria Plc depreciated by N0.70 kobo to N28.70 kobo.
Nestle Nigeria Plc on the contrary led gainers table for the day, gaining N98.00 to close at N74.70 kobo, Seplat Petroleum Development Plc followed with a gain of N16.50 kobo to N704.00, Cement Company of Northern Nigeria appreciated by N1.00 to close at N31.00, Nigerian Breweries added N0.50 kobo to close at N105.00, Champion Breweries advanced by N0.11 kobo to close at N1.98 kobo.
The NSE trading result showed thatMarket capitalisation of listed equities increased further to N13.409 trillion from N13.383 trillion reported on Monday.
The NSE All Share Index also appreciated to 37017.78 points from 36946.05 traded the previous day.
The analysis of the result indicated that Guaranty Trust Bank was the most active stock during the day, exchanging 39.647 million shares worth N1.610 billion, United Bank for Africa followed with account of 27.990 million shares valued at N272.465 million, Sterling Bank Plc traded 26.899 million shares worth N37.851 million, FBNHoldings sold 23.084 million shares cost N232.462 million while United Capital Plc sold 10.382 million shares valued at N32.710 million.
In all, Investors traded 244.965 million shares worth N4.494 billion in 5945 deals against 319.404 million shares valued at N3.048 billion exchanged hands the previous day in 4091 deals
