Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) yesterday crossed N13 trillion mark, appreciating by N237 billion.
Market capitalisation of listed equities yesterday appreciated by 1.84 per cent to N13.067 trillion from N12.830 billion reported on Wednesday.
The NSE All Share Index also increased by 485.50 basis points to 26843.11 points from 26357.61 traded the previous day. Investors exchanged 624.841 million shares worth N10.022 billion in 6426 deals against 610.575 million traded the previous day in 5031 deals.
A review of the investment during the day showed that Guinness Nigeria Plc led gainers table during the day, appreciating by N2.30 kobo to close at N26.00, Guaranty Trust Bank followed with a gain of N1.90 kobo to close at N29.90 kobo, Zenith Bank Plc added N1.35 kobo to close at N19.15 kobo, Dangote Sugar increased by N0.95 kobo to close at N10.90 kobo, Access Bank grew by N0.95 kobo to close at N10.80 kobo
Conversely, MTN Nigeria Plc topped losers chart, dipping by N0.15 kobo to close at N121.90 kobo, Ikeja Hotel trailed with a loss of N0.09 kobo to close at N0.87 kobo, Champion Breweries down by N0.09 kobo to close at N0.90 kobo while Dunlop and Entrazact remained stable at N0.20 kobo and N2.38 kobo respectively.
