Equity market sustained growth trend yesterday, gaining N139 billion.
Specifically, market capitalisation of listed equities increased by 0.71 per cent to N19.760 trillion from N19.621 trillion reported the previous day.
The NSE All Share Index also appreciated by 266.53 basis points to 37907.28 points from 37640.75 points reported on Tuesday.
Investors traded 213.704 million shares valued at N3.231 billion in 3522 deals against 229.009 million shares cost N2.730 billion in 3678 deals.
An analysis of the investment showed that Nestle Nigeria Plc led gainers table during the day, appreciating by 10 per cent to close at N1540.00, Ikeja Hotel followed with a gain of 9.92 per cent to close at N1.33 kobo, Oando Plc gained 6.67 per cent to close at N3.29 kobo, Lasaco Insurance added 9.49 per cent to N1.50 kobo while Berger Paints grew by 9.09 per cent to close at N8.40 kobo.
On the contray, BOC gas recorded the highest loss during the day, shedding 10.00 per cent to close at N8.55 kobo, Sovereign Trust Insurance trailed with a loss of 7.14 per cent to N0.26 kobo, PZ Cusson fell by 7.08 per cent to N5.25 kobo, Regal Insurance down by 6.12 per cent to close at N0.46 kobo, Courteville Business Solution dipped by 4.76 per cent to close at N0.20 kobo.
