The Etsu Nupe, Alhaji (Dr.) Yahaya Abubakar, has conferred the traditional title of Dan Walin Nupe on Hon. Saidu Ndako Idris Kpaki, Secretary to the Government (SSG) of Niger state.
In a letter dated June 12, 2014, the Etsu Nupe who is also chairman, Niger state Council of Traditional Rulers, said the conferment of the traditional title was in recognition of Kpaki’s “good track record of service right from the local government up to the state government levels.”

A statement by the SSA (Press Matters) in the SSG’s Office, Musa Umar Bologi, said the Etsu Nupe described the new Dan Walin Nupe as “hardworking, experienced, trustworthy and God-fearing,” who has distinguished himself in every aspect of human endeavor.
He urged the new Dan Walin Nupe to see his conferment as a call to continue with his selfless service to his domain, Niger state and Nigeria. He also prayed for Allah’s guidance for the new Dan Walin Nupe.
“It is my hope and prayer that many good things would follow this title which Bida Emirate Council has conferred on you,” he said.
As the Dan Walin Nupe, the SSG has become one of the Etsu’s confidantes and trusted member of the Council.
