A national anti-corruption advocate monitoring and report corps, League of Public and Civil Service Evaluation (LPCSE) has called for the immediate sack, investigation and prosecution of the acting director general of National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN) over alleged abuse of office and corruption.
The body in a letter addressed to the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation said that the embattled acting director Mr Nagode Ahmed Bolaji has spent no fewer than N400 million for foreign trips.

The letter jointly signed by its National President Dr. Animasahun Alao and its International President Barr. Sylvester Mohammed said through a critical observations and analysis from their private investigation, and day to day compliant from the staff of the agency, it was discovered that the DG selects from his caucus to go on foreign trip.
It decried that he always sidelined those he does not like from such trip even if it was relevant to their department.
The statement reads in part, “The revenue from the company hotels (Lagos and Kainji) and event centre in Lagos can not be well accounted for.

“He bought exotic cars arbitrarily without considering their uses.
“He is also having an outstanding case with Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), because of the fairly used cars he purchased claiming that they are new vehicles.
“There are also cases of contracts fully paid for, but not fully executed.
“He has also made the internal control system of the institute totally weak.
“The procurement department do whatever they like without following due process.”
