Eviction, break off agitation satanic – Sheikh Jingir

The national chairman Council of Ulama, Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa’Ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS), Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir has said that any attempt at evicting Nigerians from any section or any agitation for its break-off, is satanic.

Sheikh Jingir stated this while briefing newsmen at his residence in Jos.

“As citizens, everybody is at liberty to leave anywhere he wants to, and in a situation where someone is telling others to vacate, no politician or leader should support him.

“If you say, let’s evict Fulani, or Yoruba or Igbo, from a section of Nigeria, it is against the constitution and it is a signed of secession.

“And any part of the country that is agitating for break off, is satanic, because the aim is to cause destruction,” he said.

Sheikh Jingir opined that in a country of about two hundred million, only few of not more than five hundred thousand are bad, and are either power seekers at all cost or are sponsored by Nigeria’s enemies to cause harm in the country.

He urged leaders at all levels, to swiftly act on any information that would pose security threats.

The cleric commended the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, for cautioning those agitating for the eviction of Fulani, from the Yoruba areas.

He said Nigeria belongs to all, urging people at all spheres of endeavour to fear Allah, to promote the cause of peace, harmony, respect to one another, and progress.

“Politicians should know that without Nigeria there will be no politics, crafts men should know that without Nigeria there will be no crafts work.

“If he is a journalist in Nigeria and you ignite trouble in Nigeria, your journalism work will not be and therefore, that means people have invoked unto themselves that which is bad,” he said.

Sheikh Jingir said the media should be projecting things that would promote unity, peace, harmony and development, than that which would spark tension and violence.

He further commended; “journalists and media houses that are doing well for the good of Nigeria.”
