Ex-Ambassador defects from PDP in Zamfara

Nigeria former Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Bunu, and hundreds of his supporters, have defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara state.
Receiving the former Ambassador, and his supporters, the Bungudu Local government APC chairman, Alhaji Bashir Bello Auki, described the defection as a welcome development not only in Bungudu local council but Zamfara state.
He assured that, his party will carry every member- both new and old- along and called on other willing to join the APC to do so.
In his remark, the state APC chairman Alhaji Lawal Abubakar, who was represented by the APC state zonal vice chairman, Alhaji Musa Mallaha, described the defection of the former Ambassador as great achievement by the APC, and that the party will work with the former Ambassador to develop the party.
Meanwhile, Bunu said he joined the APC because of the exemplary leadership of Governor Abdulaziz Yari whose government has touched the lives of the people.
Also, he said President Muhammadu Buhari will tackled insecurity challenges, corruption, indiscipline as well as boosting the agricultural sector to the benefit of Nigerians.

Ambassador Bunu assured the leadership of the APC in the state that he will give necessary support to party in the state to ensure successful elections come 2019.
