Ex-beauty queen empowers 200 widows

The former Queen of Aso Ambassador and first Miss Unity Nasarawa state, Hon. Beauty Aliyu Sudar has empowered about 200 widows as well as orphans in three local government areas of the state.

Speaking during the disbursement of the items as well as tokens to the beneficiaries in an occasion to mark her birthday, Beauty Sudar said, in the five years , she has been marking her birthdays with indigent persons in the society.

Queen Beauty said her passion was to touch the lives of women in the society, hence the decision to empower women and orphans from Nasarawa Eggon, Akwanga and Wamba local governments of Nasarawa state.

The items distributed at the event which held at the JK Palms in Akwanga local government are grandding machines, 5kg bags of rice and vegetables oil as well physical cash of N10.000 each to the beneficiaries.

According to her, “I have always had passion for women, for me women are like the light of the world and if you empower a woman, everybody in the community would be empowered and that has been my motivation. So, just like i said when you leave this world, what you’ll be remembered for is the lives you’ve touched, so it gives me great joy to always touch the lives of women not only widows.

“I have been doing this for the past 5 years now, we are not reaching out to widows alone, we have been reaching out to the Orphans also, we have gone to IDP camps, we have gone to hospitals and a whole lot our record will definitely show for what I have done”.

The first Miss Unity Nasarawa further disclosed that her dream is to touch the lives of many women in the state and Nigeria at large.
