Ex-Buhari’s minister set to join PDP

The former minister of women affairs and social development in the Buhari’s administration, Aisha Jumai Alhassan is set to return to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Aisha had served under Buhari’s administration between 2015 to 2018, before dumping the All Progressives Congress (APC) for United Democratic Party (UDP) where she contested for the governorship seat of taraba state in the 2019 election.

The former minister who was on Monday paid a courtesy on Governor Darius Ishaku said she is ever ready to contribute her quarter to the success of his administration.

She said all Tarabans must join hands with governor Ishaku to enable him develop the state.

“You are the father of Taraba, our father and the leader of the rescue team.

“In any contest, there must be a winner and a looser, and it is God that gives power.

“All of us who contested alongside with you in 2019 and lost out must put away our differences and contribute to see that  the best is given to Tarabans” She said.

On his part, governor Ishaku described Senator Aisha as a woman of substance who hardly gives in the pursuit of her political career.

The governor urged the supporters of the PDP who see her in the past as an enemy to embrace her as their own in the PDP family.
