Ex-Gov Nyame, Speaker mourn Suntai

Former Taraba state Governor, Jolly Myame, and the Speaker, House of Assembly, Peter Abel Diah, were the fi rst callers at the Government House to condole with the governor over the loss of their colleague, Danbaba Danfulani Suntai. Nyame and Diah described the late former governor as “a leader worthy of emulation” by all who aspire to be leaders. Nyame, specifi cally, canvassed the need to immortalise Suntai. Th e Speaker said the late Suntai was a worthy leader that meant well for all and sundry in the state. Taraba state government announced the death of the former governor yesterday through a press statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Hassan Mijinyewa. According to the statement dated June 28, 2017, the governor received the news of the former governor’s death with rude shock and he commiserated with the people of the state over the lost. Th e state government has also opened a condolence register at the Government House, Jalingo, for sympathisers.
