Ex-governor inaugurates guber campaign council in Zamfara

The All Progressive Congress (APC), Zamfara state chapter has inaugurated state APC gubernatorial campaign council.

Inaugurating the committee in Gusau, Monday, the Chairman Gubernatorial Campaign Council of governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle, also the former governor of Zamfara state, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari expressed readiness of the committee to ensure success of APC in the state come 2023.

According to him, the main committee under his watch had concluded arrangements to select 20 committee members in each of the 14 local government areas of the state for the successful campaign of APC in the state and victory of APC in the next election.

He enjoined politicians regardless of their party differences to play  politics without any rancor.

“I am appealing to opposition parties to disregard causing political violence through the use of our youths for peaceful campaign and election in the state,” Yari contended.

According to him, no meaningful development could be achieved in politics where absent of peace is the order of the day during electioneering campaign, elections and beyond among politicians and leaders of their political parties in the country.

He stated that APC will remain law abiding party, stressing that the party will regain power next election in the state.

He explained that the gubernatorial campaign council under his watch will go every nooks and crannies of the state during electioneering campaign for the success of governor Matawalle and Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He tasked members of the APC in the state to embrace peace and unity for the triumph of the party next election.

“I want to call on members and supporters of APC in the state to remain law abiding and embrace peace and unity for our success in the next election in the state,” he said.
