Exercise Dogon-Dutse: Army advises residents not to panic

Authorities of Nigerian Military School (NMS), Zaria, have advised residents of Karau-Karau and Tohu villages in Giwa and Sabon Gari local government areas of Kaduna state not to panic as final year students (SSS 3) will be out on military training codenamed “Exercise Dogon-Dutse” that will last for one week.
This was contained in a statement by Assistant Director, Army Public Relations Depot, Nigerian Army, Zaria, Captain Haruna Mohammed Sani, and made available to Blueprint in Zaria, yesterday.
The statement said that the exercise was part of military training designed for final year students of the school.
It explained that the school would conduct civil military, cooperation (CIMIC) activities in Karau-Karau and Kabama/Tohu as well as the entire metropolis.
“Residents are enjoined not panic at the sighting body of troops or sound of gunshots as it is a routine military training exercise organised by the Nigerian Military School.
“Residents are also assured of safety as all precautionary measures for hitch free exercise has been put in place,” the statement noted.
