False allegation: How Taraba-based Magazine publisher was nabbed – Gov’s aide

The publisher of Express Time Magazine Mr. Mark-Miracle Brave, and a Taraba-bsed journalist, who recently broke a false allegation that Taraba state Governor, Arc. Darius Ishaku impregnated the wife of the late Hon. Hosia Ibi has been arrested.

Special assistant to the governor on New Media, Mr. Nelson C. Len, who revealed this while briefing journalists on Friday in Jalingo, the state capital said he used a special software that gave him access to the developers information.

He said the Permanent Secretary, Taraba state Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy affairs, Alhaji Bello Yero, was the one who initiated the order for the software that yielded positive results.

“When the  information broke out, we were all disturbed. Our governor is a man of dignity who has an excellent pedigree. And  we can’t allow his image to be toiled with, and this is why we quickly swung into action and initiated an order for his arrest,” he said. 

He said the Alhaji Yero also mobilised and provided all the necessary support to see that the faceless person behind the fake news was arrested and brought to book.

According to him, the good name and image of the governor would continue to be portrayed in a positive light.

“After developing the software, I tracked him and traced him to his hideout in his country home in Ussa local government area of the state. When we got there, his picture and his mobile number with us was what we used to get him. He is at the moment with Taraba state police command.

On his part, Taraba state police command on Friday confirmed they arrested one Mark Miracle Brave.

The spokesman of the command, DSP David Misal, while confirming the arrest said that the arrest was made following a petition written against him for conspiracy and defamation of the governor’s character through false publication.

He said the accused was still in police net after he was charged to court on Thursday.

He urged those who specialised in passing fake information to desist, adding that the era of such act is over.
